Spring Walking Festival
This year's spring festival will explore the beautiful Brandon area - a treasure trove of spectacular scenery and a hikers' dream. We’ll follow famous pioneer trails through forest and meadow, and trek steep ridges up and down plunging river valleys. These are some of the most interesting hikes in Canada and Prairie Pathfinder favourites!
Friday to Sunday May 28 - 30/10
Three full days of hiking beginning Friday mid-morning and ending Sunday afternoon. Hikes include the Brandon Hills - where one dramatic panoramic view follows another and the serenely beautiful Assiniboine River Valley on the Silverbend Trail. All three days explore some of the best secret treasures that Manitoba has to offer.
Registration cost is $149.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations. The $149. registration includes three group and guided hikes, two evening meals and evening activities (Friday & Saturday).
Accommodations
The DAYS INN in Brandon is festival headquarters and participants are responsible for booking their own rooms. Be sure to quote group code CGA276 to receive the Prairie Pathfinder group rate. The hotel has a nice pool & hot tub and provides a substantial continental breakfast. Also each room has a fridge. Rooms & suites will be held for Prairie Pathfinders until April 28th.
