Seine River Hike & Lunch $32.
This frozen riverbed of the Seine is a scenic delight - a wonderful hike on even the coldest day. Our route follows sheltered sections of the river as well as various pathways in south St Vital.
End with a guaranteed warm-up - an excellent Italian themed lunch buffet. Join the fun!
he 7-9 km hike (depending on trail conditions and weather) will start at 10:30 from the community club and will include nearby sheltered sections of the Seine River and along pathways in South St. Vital. After the hike there will be an Italian themed buffet lunch at the community centre. Later, the St. Vital Historical Society will give us an interpretive presentation of some of St. Vital's history, especially as it relates to the Seine River area. Next, a member of the Save Our Seine organization will give a short talk about their recent achievements and future plans. This year, the Save Our Seine organization is celebrating their 20th anniversary of successfully preserving and protecting the river.We are pleased to help them celebrate with this winter hike.
