Langford Pasture Hike
FEASTING IN THE FIELDS
Saturday May 8/10

Our once a year opportunity to explore a unique corner of Manitoba. Few people have heard of the Langford Pasture and even fewer have seen it. Access to this environmentally sensitive land is tightly controlled but we’ve arranged special permission to go in for the day. The 22,000 acre community pasture covers a stretch of beautiful beach ridges south of Neepawa on the Arden Ridge. Be prepared for a fairly tough hike (16 km) and some spectacular scenery.
Our Feasting in the Fields is indeed an occasion. Mid afternoon we’ll stop at a grove of massive evergreens - one of the most picturesque spots on the trail, for a hearty bison stew and corn bread dinner served up with great style by Manitoba’s famous Prairie Seasons
This is ‘pathfinding’ at its best and a rare opportunity to see one of Manitoba’s truly secret scenic treasures.

COST - $39. for group & guided day hike & picnic dinner. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Online registration deadline is May 5th.
